About Cortney

Cortney is a mediator based in Reno, Nevada, where she resolves millions of dollars annually in pending or threatened litigation.

Prior to beginning her career in dispute resolution, Cortney spent over a decade with the litigation and trial team at Chapman Law Firm. As one of the few non-attorney team members, Cortney worked closely with the firm’s attorneys to ensure each case was well prepared for trial, participating in substantive strategic and tactical planning with an eye towards either winning or obtaining a favorable settlement.

Her background in litigation and deep knowledge of dispute resolution, combined with her pragmatic problem-solving style, allows Cortney to quickly assess the merits of each case while also appealing to the human aspect involved. As a result, cases brought to Cortney for resolution are resolved efficiently, cost-effectively, and compassionately.

Cortney is available for mediations throughout the United States.
